Terms used in this policy
To keep things clear, here is what the following words mean when we use them:
- "We", "us" and "our" mean Pigalos, the restaurant described in section 1.
- "You" and "your" mean anyone who visits our website or makes a booking through it.
- "Website" means the Pigalos website and the booking form or widget on it.
- "Personal data" means any information that can identify you, such as your name, email address or phone number.
- "Booking provider" means DesignMyNight (operated by Access UK Ltd), the third-party system that creates and manages bookings made through our website.
- "UK GDPR" means the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, the laws that govern how personal data can be used.
1. Who we are
Pigalos is a restaurant serving deep-dish pizza and burgers at 11 Bigg Market, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 1UN, inside Louie's Liquor Store.
If you have any questions about this policy, email us at info@pigalos.co.uk.
Pigalos is a trading name of Aaron Rose, a sole trader, operating at Louie's Liquor Store.
2. What we collect
When you make a booking, we ask for:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
We collect nothing else about you through the website. We do not ask you to create an account.
3. Why we collect it
We only collect these details so that we can create and confirm your table booking and contact you about it if something changes. We do not use them for marketing, and we do not sell them to anyone.
Our lawful basis under UK data protection law is that we need your details to take and fulfil your booking (a contract, or steps taken at your request before one).
4. Who we share it with
Bookings on our website are handled by our third-party booking provider, DesignMyNight (operated by Access UK Ltd). When you submit a booking, your name, email address and phone number are passed to DesignMyNight so that your booking can be created.
- DesignMyNight is responsible for looking after that data once it receives it, including its security, storage and how long it is kept.
- How DesignMyNight handles your data is set out in its own privacy notice: https://designmynight.com/privacy-policy
- If your booking needs a deposit, the payment is taken through the booking provider. We never see or handle your card details.
We do not share your details with anyone else.
5. What we do not do
We do not store your booking details on our website, and we do not keep our own database of customer information. We do not use your details for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making.
6. How long it is kept
We do not keep your personal data on our website. How long the booking provider keeps it is covered by the DesignMyNight privacy notice linked above.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data is held about you and get a copy
- Ask for incorrect data to be corrected
- Ask for your data to be deleted
- Ask for the use of your data to be restricted, or object to it
- Ask for your data to be provided in a portable format
Because your booking data is held by DesignMyNight, the quickest way to use these rights is usually to contact them directly through their privacy notice. You are also welcome to email us at info@pigalos.co.uk and we will point you in the right direction or pass your request on.
8. Cookies and website analytics
We do not track our customers. Our website does not use cookies, analytics or any other tracking tools, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
If you use the booking form provided by DesignMyNight, that service may set its own cookies. We do not control these, and they are covered by DesignMyNight's own privacy notice and cookie policy.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle booking data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
